Family Dentistry
Finding a dentist who treats everyone in the family is not always easy. Some dentists specialize in a single service, such as endodontics, or serve only one population, such as pediatrics. Family dentistry in Tampa FL is the obvious solution. Dr. David Goldschein and his assistants work with patients from infancy to their senior years.
What is Family Dentistry?
Family dentists complete a four-year undergraduate degree, followed by four years of dental school and additional training on developmental stages and dental procedures. Below are some of the services offered by family dentistry clinics.
Dental Cleanings and Exams
The most basic service we offer at Generations Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is the biannual cleaning and exam. One of our dental hygienists cleans your teeth by removing plaque and tartar with handheld or electronic instruments, followed by polishing and flossing your teeth.
Even when you follow a dedicated oral healthcare routine at home, the biannual exam is necessary because you cannot always see or reach the plaque, tartar, and bacteria on your teeth. We also take X-rays of your teeth and gums annually to track any potential oral health problems.
Once our hygienist finishes with the cleaning portion of your exam, Dr. Goldschein inspects your teeth and gums to determine if you have any oral health issues that require follow-up. If so, we ask that you schedule another appointment before leaving our clinic.
Dental Fillings
When one or more of your teeth contain decay, Dr. Goldschein applies filling material to preserve them. We offer you the option of selecting the shade of filling material that most closely resembles the shade of your other teeth, allowing you greater discretion with your smile and appearance.
The above are just two examples of family dentistry in Tampa FL. Please contact us to inquire about other services or to request an appointment.
